what is mental health?
It's not something that can be classed as right or wrong. It's different to being quirky, it's not just a mood swing, it's when our daily life becomes affected that our mental health is questioned. BUT like physical health, mental health can be treated and restored.
So what in our lives would be affected?
- confidence
- our views on ourselves
- how well we cope and deal with stress
- our sense of right and wrong
- how we play and act for our age
- how we develop in intelligence
- how we act in relationships (friends, family and romantic)

Bye bye self confidence,
A once confident and happy person may voice negative views about their personality, looks or talents.
Dramatic grade drop,
Grades drop as a student lacks focus to complete tasks. Little focus means deadlines are missed and work is poorly completed.
The passion dies,

To sleep or not to sleep,
Teenagers need extra sleep. Some mental illnesses cause a person to either stop sleeping, have an irregular sleep pattern or sleep for incredibly long periods of time. No matter what the sleeping pattern, the person will still feel tired in the morning.
Body swap,
Massive weight gains or weight losses.
Look for extremes with food (eating lots or not much) or exercise (all the time or not at all).
Personality overhaul,
A personality flips or changes with no explanation or warning,
For example an outgoing person may become shy.
